Privacy Policy

WithinSight is a self-discovery tool operated by PalmFire Media LLC. To do its job it needs a small amount of personal information — your answers to a short questionnaire and, if you choose to go further, your date and time of birth. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

What we collect

• Assessment answers — your responses to the 15-question personal assessment, the 12-question relationship questionnaire, or the 16-question work-style questionnaire.
• Birth data — date, and optionally time and place of birth. This is required to generate a birth-pattern reading and is never required for the free psychology result.
• An anonymous identifier — a random ID stored in your browser so you can return to your own results. It is not linked to your name or email unless you provide one.
• Email address — only when you create a team (to send you the management link) or when you choose to give it to us.
• Other people’s birth data — the Relationship module asks for another person’s birth date. We use it only to generate that single reading. It is stored as part of the cached reading, never as a profile of that person, and it is never contacted, matched, or shared.

How we use it

Your data is used for one purpose: generating your readings. Report text is produced by an AI language model (Anthropic Claude) from your structural data and scores. The model provider processes that data to return the report and, under its API terms, does not use it to train models. We cache generated reports so that identical inputs return the same reading without regenerating it.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not build marketing profiles from it.

Team assessments

If you join a team assessment, your birth data and work-style answers are visible to that team’s manager only in the form of the generated team report and your individual profile. WithinSight is designed for team development and self-understanding. It is not designed for, and must not be used for, hiring, promotion, compensation or termination decisions. Every team member gives explicit consent before submitting.

Where it is stored

Data is stored with Supabase (hosted on AWS, United States) and the site runs on Vercel. Transport is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the database is restricted to the application server.

Your choices

• The free psychology result works without any birth data.
• You can clear your browser session at any time; results are keyed to an anonymous ID, not to you.
• We periodically delete data we no longer need and do not retain it for other purposes. You can also email kandice@withinsight.app to request deletion of your data — or data you entered about someone else — and we will complete it within 14 days of receiving your request.

Children

WithinSight is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is used, we will update the date above and note the change on this page.
